This month the Focus Member Sat will be the 2nd Saturday -as the Foster Parent Conference falls on the 1st Saturday…you can still call in or email to make your appointment 1 week prior to the 1st Saturday for an appointment on the 2nd Saturday.

 SAVE THE DATE FOR THE ANNUAL FOSTER FAMILY PICNIC
Sunday, September 21 at Kiwanis Land in Garden Grove. We have just begun to make plans and are putting together a committee for the picnic. If you’d like to help us, please let me know.

 Another way you might want to help...
is by joining our support group to help foster families when a traumatic event has happened to a foster child. Would you like to lend a supporting ear, take a meal, or help in some other way? Let me know if you are interested in joining this small group to be called on in an emergency.

For all new members
and for the old timers who don’t mind hearing again, that we are always interested in having our members help and input…you are invited to attend our board meetings to see if there are areas you’d like to help out with, or just come on in and help…there is always something to do!

 I hope you find time during foster family appreciation month
to appreciate yourselves if you are a foster/adoptive home -and to find the time to explain to someone else in the community why you choose to foster and how each person can make a big difference by helping just a little. If you inspire your community members to help the Auxiliary, it helps us all! You CAN make a difference.
