General Meeting |
|
July 14: Meeting
All members welcome – July 14, Wednesday, 7pm in the Eckhoff Annex Building. Address: 744 N Eckhoff, Orange
Agenda: Proposed Bylaw changes regarding Director, Officer, Chair and membership meetings, responsibilities, increase in dues, and method of notice of meetings.
Please come to this general meeting where your vote counts. The Foster Care Auxiliary Board has had to make the hard decision to propose an increase in membership dues for 2011. We realize that we are in the midst of a very challenging economic period, and we will continue to strive to provide services to the best of our ability. When you think about how the services of FCAOC have grown over the past 6 years with NO increase in fees, it’s not hard to realize that since our services and bills have grown, we just have to make the uncomfortable decision to suggest that our membership dues need to reflect our current economic situation.
Only a short business meeting is necessary – we’re working on filling the rest of the evening with information, training, fun and prizes as available.

FCAOC membership!
Hello. As membership chair of the Foster Care Auxiliary, I need to inform you that the board has decided it is in the best interest of our organization to raise membership dues to $75.00 a year for 2011. Dues have not been increased in 6 years, while services and programs have grown more than ever. Our expenses have increased, and we want to continue to offer as much as we can for our foster families.
We do know that in the current economic struggle, that it is more important than ever that we continue to offer services to our foster family community. The suggested increase is only $25...that’s only $2.50 for each month that distribution is available.
Please feel free to contact me or any other board member to discuss this or any other issue.
Sincerely, Martin Harvey – FCAOC Membership Chair
