Please join us for this ‘book club’ style training and support group in 2011. You may sign up now!
Participants will meet monthly to review and discuss specific chapters of the Boys Town Press’ book, Practical
Tools for Foster Parents. A copy will be given to each participant at the first meeting. Participation at all
6 meetings is encouraged. Parents will discuss Boys Town’s approach to foster care in the 21st century, which focuses on teaching skills, building relationships, and empowering kids through teaching them self-discipline and self-control. During these six months, foster parents learn how to provide a safe home for kids and how to deal with their behaviors –
both positive and negative.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FROM FAMILY MEMBERS |
|
|
Directory of Professional services from
family members
of the Auxiliary.
If someone in your family wishes to be listed on our directory and agrees to give a minimum 5% discount to Auxiliary members, let me know. When you need a plumber, air conditioner/heaters or repair, a room addition design and plans, discount Disneyland tickets, doors or windows, child care, design, etc.; you don’t need to call blindly from the yellow pages…call someone on our list, who you know is a fellow member of the Auxiliary and will give you a discount! We wouldn’t be recommending anyone – only letting the person asking know that there is someone within our community who can provide the needed service.
Here is the list so far…let me know if you have additions.
