FOSTER CARE AUXILIARY NEWSLETTER APRIL 2009
Camp To Belong

Camp To Belong
Camp To Belong is a national organization whose motto is to give siblings the right to reunite. This organization is spreading throughout the US and beyond where sibling connections are enhanced at camp. This camp is specifically for children in foster care who have siblings they cannot currently live with. The Eddie Nash Foundation has partnered with Foster Care Auxiliary and we will be bringing Camp To Belong to Orange County this July! Visit www.camptobelongoc.org to find out more! If you would like a camper application or information about Orangewood Children’s Trust Fund Grant’s which can provide costs for this camp, please contact us. If you know someone who would be interested in becoming a counselor for the camp, have them contact the Auxiliary.

Support Group and Training

Children’s Wetting and Soiling Behaviors
With abused and neglected children, the toilet can become a battleground of emotional upset and rebellion- as well as a window into a child’s past. This course examines five types of problems: classic wetting problems, soiling and smearing feces, constipation and withholding stools. Join us on Monday morning, April 6th, from 9am-11am for our support group and training. Two hours of training credit will be given and your member shopping can be done immediately following the meeting. For information or to register call 714 778-3383 or email FosterCareAux@yahoo.com

Carl’s Jr. Coupon Book

Help Us Help You! One of the ways we pay for the services and programs for foster families is through the sale of Carl’s Jr. Coupon Book. These booklets have some great coupons for Carl’s Jr. items and can pay for themselves in one visit. They make great small gift items plus are a money saver to use. Please help us by buying as many books as you can and sell them to everyone you know. There will be a prize for the member who has bought the most books in March!

Foster Care 501c3 charity

Did you know?
that FCAOC is a group of foster parents and community members who are interested in helping foster families in their efforts and we are NOT funded with county, state or federal funds? We are YOUR organization and our main support comes from our Thrift Store proceeds and community members and organizations who believe in our cause. Please help spread the word to other community members who want to do their part to help us. Be sure to tell them that we are a registered 501c3 charity so they know that their donation is tax deductable.
