We have been given an organ by a lady who had it in her home for 8 years and had inherited it from her uncle. She gave it to us to use to raise funds with because it was just too large for her home. She played it for us when we picked it up, and cried as we left. She obviously loved the organ and it has been taken care of. The organ is a Rodgers 34E and has a huge pedal board and three giant speakers...one a Leslie which gives it that special theater organ sound. It's actually a theater/pipe organ. There is a button on the console as well as on the base board in front of the pedals that give it a church-like pipe organ sound when you want that extra kick.
It is in our store now, which probably isn't the best place to show such a jewel. - I'm trying to put the word out that we have this available. Maybe there is a church or someone out there who is looking for just this organ? Please share my contact information with them and let them know they can come by to see and try out this beautiful organ. I'm hoping to get $1,500 for it, but will, of course, take the best offer.

Family Picnic
SAVE THE DATE FOR THE ANNUAL FOSTER FAMILY PICNIC – Sunday, September 21
We have just chosen our picnic date and I wanted to let everyone know so you can save the date on your calendars. It falls on a Sunday again this year...September 21. This means that we need to put together a committee to get all the work done that the picnic entails. If you'd like to be on the committee, please let me know by email or phone and include what day/dates/ times that you CANNOT meet, so I can try to arrange a convenient time for all. The meetings will probably take place at the center during open hours. This is a great way for our supporting members to help.
I am looking to put together a small group to offer moral support to foster parents who suffer a traumatic event with a placed child. If you are interesting in forming and participating in a group like this, please let me know by email or phone...also include times that you CANNOT attend a meeting to discuss just what this would involve. You do not need to be a focus member to offer your support in this way.

Kids Fishing Derby. Annual Free Kids Fishing Derby at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. Check the information from the last newsletter. Our group will be on the west side of the lake…look for Nina with the RED FCAOC Apron on. This event fills up fast so it’s important to get there early…remember 7am.

Anaheim Arsenal Game April 5, 7:30pm- Members who first respond get tickets (100 tickets) to April 5-special fan appreciation night. Clipper jerseys will be worn by Arsenals and Lakers jerseys worn by LA Defender team and giveaways for the fans. Anaheim Convention Center
